Let me start by saying I enjoyed this book. While the plot starts off somewhat slow, it quickly picks up. There are quite a few twists scattered throughout and you'll definitely want to stick around to find out what they are. Some parts I didn't like, but they are few and far between, quite inconsequential.
In summary, you should read this book. You'll be paying less than a dollar for a full length novel, and that's a pretty good value right there. Why not give Oblivion a try?
Really enjoyed reading this book, was so different from the other stories out there about angels and demons. have to admit it was a bit slow to begin with but ramped up half way through the book. Loved the love story twist )

"Oblivion" is the debut work of Ms. Alt and it is a fine debut indeed!
The characters, plot, setting, and narrative all run at a great pace and include plenty of vivid description and lively prose. The tale is interesting enough that I refuse to give away any spoilers. In some places the story gets bogged down in overused adjectives and tag lines, but the book is too good to be knocked down by these mistakes.
Ms. Alt is a very good writer with a talent for description. Though not a romantic myself, I saw touches of powerful emotional scenes that reminded me of "Twilight". A lot of the interaction between two of the characters bears the mark of that famous vampire series; but since this tale is a different animal, it stays away from being too familiar.
There are some grammar and spelling errors sprinkled throughout the book; a few formatting issues also crop up from time to time. Once these minor problems are polished, Ms. Alt has a 5-star book on her hands. If you enjoy a good story with romance, adventure, tension, and all the classic elements then give this one a whirl. The sample is more than enough to know if you'll like it. For .99, you can't go wrong.
Seemed more for the young adult. Not sure if im comfortable with the religious parts that contradict my own beliefs. Not what i expected. Just seemed the story went all over with too many ideas for one book vs say a trilogy. I may try this author again but not if it had to do with sol , luna or religion. I tried keeping an open mind and tried just enjoying the story, just not my cup of tea!
I really enjoyed this story. I picked up fairly quickly that there was "something different" about Lillim. Then there is the title- I read for a long time wondering why Oblivion then Wow! there it was, and it made so much sense! I can't say much more or I'd give something away! Just know that one can find Love in the darnedest of places, and that love can overcome all obstacles. The way Ms. Alt weaves the lives of the characters together is magic. Thanks for the great read!
I was interested with the author's initial intro to the book. H. Alt is a new author and her writing is nothing like I've seen. She has a style that is allows any user to understand the book. This book has plenty of twists and turns and kept me on the edge of my seat! I felt connected to the book as it has many of the features I look for which are, fantasy, modern, and futuristic yet real!
In the book, Lillim has no memory of her past. As you progress through the book, you get to see how she lives with her nightmares and what her dreams actually are. The book allowed me to visually see the events unfolding each and every time. I'm a very visual person and this was the best feature of the book. I was able to follow Lillim as she figured out who she was and what she was to do. The characters are very real and give meaning to the book, rather than just confusing fillers.
If you are not sure if this book is worth while, I ask you to give it a shot as it will keep you wanting more. The only issue I had was the fact that I would read this book instead of doing homework because I wanted more of it. I can't say it enough, this book is a favorite. I recommend this book to any reader looking for a book that develops a thrilling plot!
